About Praba

Praba’s mission is to share the wisdom of Ashtanga Yoga in its traditional form, guiding students to experience the discipline not only as a physical practice but also as a path to self-awareness, balance, and transformation.

Our Mission

Praba brings with him over 14 years of dedicated experience in Ashtanga Yoga, shaped by continuous practice, study, and teaching across India and abroad. His yoga journey began under the guidance of his uncle, the renowned teacher Vijay Amar, in Himachal Pradesh. Seeking to deepen his understanding, Praba further refined his practice under the mentorship of Vijay Kumar and the late Sharath Jois, carrying forward the authentic tradition of Ashtanga Yoga.

Over the years, he has immersed himself in different yoga communities across India to enrich his knowledge of asana techniques, breathwork, and the philosophy of yoga. His teaching experience includes leading 200- and 300-hour Teacher Training Courses for students from India, across Europe, and Kazakhstan, where he has inspired practitioners to build strong foundations in both practice and teaching.

Praba currently teaches at Prabha Yoga shala, his dedicated Ashtanga Yoga school in Auroville, and also works with Kavaalya, one of the leading yoga schools in Europe.
